Well we officially have owned our house for 2 weeks now! I love it!
There are so many great things about this house, and each day I find
something else to love more and more! We still have a lot to do to it,
though, to make it feel more like OUR home. We haven't even painted
anything yet! It has been so cold up here this last week that the idea
of going out for anything seems like a bad idea! Hopefully as the
weather warms up so will my willingness to tackle these projects!
We also have been busy entertaining family this last week. First, Ian's
parents stopped up for a day to drop some things off and to tour the
house! They loved it, but had to cut their trip short due to a snow
storm last week. Then my parents came up last weekend (braved it through
that same storm and made it safely) and had to extend their stay due to
a different snow storm! One of my sisters and her daughter came up,
too, and just left today! It has been wonderful to have everyone here to
see the house and visit, but it's also nice to have time to sit and
watch basketball today! We haven't had a lazy day in the house yet, so
it was a nice night to do just that! However, having visitors right away
made us unpack and organize the house much quicker! We only have a
couple rooms with boxes in them and then a few storage things to go
through in the basement. Ian even got the garage semi-organized to make
room for the Mustang!
Well I better get back to unpacking things and making an effort at finding our stuff amongst the chaos!
