We are getting so excited! We close on the house one week from
today! We have most of our things packed, but there are still a lot of
little things left to do! I personally cannot wait to have our own place
and space! Especially a kitchen big enough to actually prep and cook
in! That will be an amazing change! I also cannot wait to start making
the house our own! We started looking at paint colors a few weeks back,
but I cannot decide what I want to do with the entire main level. I want
the colors to coordinate, but I do not want every room the same. I just
need to get a few palettes to work with and see which I like best! It's
a tough decision, though, with 100 different shades of yellow to choose
from!
I keep checking the forecast, too, because I
don't want it to be snowing or frigid the day we are moving the majority
of our stuff. As of today, though, it says it should be a high of 37!
That will be PERFECT! Not too slushy or muddy, but not frigid cold on
the hands and face!
Hopefully I can get some updated pictures on here soon! Keep checking back for the reveal!

February Update
I cannot believe it's February already! Three weeks until we close
on our house and get to move in! I'm so excited! We already packed half
of our house, too! We're ready......well practically ready! Our
financing is moving along quickly as well! Everything was approved and
sent for the final stages of paperwork on Monday! Whoo ooo! However, our
closing date was pushed back a couple days. The seller was unable to
find a place that she could move into by the 4th of March so our new
closing day is March 7th with her moving into her new place on the 8th.
We're hoping she'll have everything ready and packed by Thursday so
she's out quickly by Friday morning! We'll see how it all plays out!
We also talked to our landlords for our current place, but communication has not been great. Things are fine, and they don't mind us moving out. However, other circumstances have come to light and we needed to make sure that we would still be able to be in the house until March 7th. It's a long story (but I won't slander anyone on here), but the moral is...professional communication is key in any relationship.
Stay tuned for more updates on the house, and Happy Valentines Day to you all!
